THE PORTOLAN GROUP IS SELECTED TO ASSIST TREDYFFRIN/EASTTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT IN PENNSYLVANIA

The Tredyffrin/Easttown school district in eastern Pennsylvania has selected The Portolan Group to conduct an assessment of their food service operation. The district has been considering options for improvement in this support service. They decided to select an independent consultant that can give them unbiased analysis of current operations and optional improvement strategies. The assessment will take place in February 2005, with recommendations to the administration and school board by early March. This will allow the district to have the proper timeframe to select their improvement strategy to be implemented going into the school year.

As Phil Stover, President of PGI plainly stated, “this school district is in my old stomping grounds … you bet we are going to do a good job of assisting T-E schools.” Terry Burgess, Executive Vice President of PGI reports, “Since we have no stake in the outcome of the assessment and recommendations, we are totally unbiased. We will give strategic recommendations to the T-E school district. T-E will be given the pros and cons of each strategy and then choose the best course of action."
